Proposal not to grant registration for mark “FaFa” was rejected.

Henkel AG & Co. KgaA (DE), the owner of the International Registrations No.531776 “Fa” and No.1224479 “Fa, figure” for products/services in classes 03, 05 and others (“the objector”) has filed a proposal to the IP Vietnam for requesting not to grant a Trademark Registration to the mark applied-for in VN application No.4-2018-35270 “FaFa” of NS FaFa Japan Co., Ltd. for protection of “Detergents for washing; fabric softener [for washing]; soaps for lightening the color of textiles; sizing for laundry; bleach for washing; soaps for washing; scented soaps; deodorant soaps..." in Class 03 on the ground that the applied-for mark is confusingly similar to the objector’s already registered trademarks.

The IP Vietnam held that "FaFa" is not confusingly similar to "Fa" and "Fa, figure" and issued a notice not to accept the opinion of the objector./.
