The Inspectorate Detected Two Companies in Using Pirated Software at Large Scale.

Recently, the Inspectorate of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has conducted unscheduled inspect and detected ILA Vietnam Co., Ltd. Food and Orion Vina located in Ho Chi Minh city in using a large-scale commercial pirated software, of which most were Microsoft’s software. The total value of the pirated software of ILA Vietnam was about US$53,900 and Orion Vina was US$39,950.

 

In 2014, the Vietnamese competent authorities have conducted propaganda campaigns, disseminated knowledge on the IP rights but also raided into infringers throughout country. However, there are still exist a lot of egregious copyright infringements being very much the same as in this cases, the inspector said.
