National Workshop on Improve Quality of Patent Searching and Examination

Mr. Pham Hoang Thien, a senior executive in Pham & Associates attended in National Workshop on Improve Quality of Patent Searching and Examination, taking place on June 28 to 30, 2017 in Hanoi.

The panelists were from the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), the European Patent Office (EPO), the Japan Patent Office (JPO), the Korean Industrial Property Office (KIPO), and the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

•     Hands-on demonstration of the WIPO case tool to promote the work sharing.

•     Effective utilization of available information through accessing and retrieving other Offices’ patent search and examination results, including prior art search technics.

•     Case studies: patent examination and searching practices on technology fields; Ho to interpret patent examination reports and Office documents.

•     National patent examination and granting practices; Examination and granting work flow to process the IP application, and related procedural requirements.
