In research and development, intellectual property has formed a system that helps research organizations, scientists benefit from their own creativity.

At the seminar, Korean experts introduced the development history of KIPO, KIPA, exchanging and sharing experiences in successfully establishing and developing intellectual property networks in Korea. On their part, Vietnamese experts presented the Vietnamese legal system on intellectual property, efforts to raise public awareness in promoting intellectual property activities, experiences in patent information exploitation and commercialization of intellectual property and, in particular, sharing information on specific cases that have succeeded in commercializing intellectual property.

Korea is a developed country with typical successes in the commercialization of technology and patents. Lessons learned from Korea in this area are essential for management agencies and the business community, research institutes and universities.

This is a great opportunity for Vietnamese and Korean management and research institutions, universities and businesses to exchange and share experiences as well as increase mutual understanding in issues relevant to commercialization of inventions and technologies in order to contribute to improving the capacity of related parties in the two countries.
