Figurative trademark “POP MIE” proposed to be cancelled partially

National Trademark Registration (VN) No.151612  figurative “POP MIE” granted to PT INDOFOOD SUKSES MAKMUR Tbk (IND) on 22/11/2007, valid  till 13/04/2026 for goods in Class 09  has been applied by a third party to the IP Vietnam for partial cancellation, specifically cancelling protection for “Barley food; drinks on a chocolate basis; drinks on a cocoa basis; drinks on the basis of coffee; cookies; bread; alum sugar for food, cereal preparations; cereal slices, coffee; spice; all kinds of confectionery; flat biscuits; corn food; crackers, fruit jelly [candy]; chili sauce; ketchup; the pasta; marzipan; mayonnaise; canola sauce; flat noodles; noodles; biscuits; sauces [condiments]; spices for cooking; soy sauce; tea (tea); tomato sauce” on the grounds  that the trademark has not been used by the owner for these products in the Vietnamese market for the last 5 consecutive years.
